Calligrapher Kuniyo TASAKA
Calligraphy is an art form that visually expresses the "spirit of words".
From an early age, Kuniyo TASAKA was taught by a master calligrapher and learned to write in the traditional manner. While keeping traditional calligraphy at the base, Tasaka has developed her own creativity.
Kuniyo TASAKA is a certified Japanese high school teacher specializing in calligraphy.
Kuniyo TASAKA has created not only fine arts, but also titles for books, movies, and stage productions, as well as corporate logos, product logos, and company mottos.

Tasaka is not only a creator of calligraphy, but also a performer who writes huge calligraphic works. So far, the project has been held in Paris, Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and various locations in Japan.

This was the stage at the Aichi Expo.The back curtains are not printed but were weitten directly on the clothes.Kuniyo TASAKA wrote directly on the clothes. It's length was 7.2meters. Width was 2 meters.
In front of that, Yosuke Yamashita(on piano), AKira Sakata(on sax), Hirimitsu Agatsuma(on Tusgaru shamisen) and others played.
These Ukiyo-e prints are made with the technique as same as the Edo Period, Under the supervision of Tezuka Production.
Kuniyo TASAKA wrote the characters in the red square in it.
